30th Annual Conference |
It is time to make plans to attend the Florida Educational Negotiators Spring Conference. The conference will begin on the morning of May 12 and run through noon on May 14. The theme for this year’s conference is “Bargaining through Tough Times, Part II.” The conference will be held at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, 100 North Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida. The telephone number for hotel reservations is 1-866-536-8477 or the hotel directly at 386-254-8200. The hotel is accepting reservations now. The deadline for reservations to receive the conference rate is April 11, 2010. The single/double rate is $128 per night, and you must identify yourself as a FEN conference participant to receive that rate. The group rate will be honored for three days before group arrival and three days after group departure based on availability.
The keynote speaker for this year’s conference will be Ken Futch. The topics for this year include Basic Bargaining, Generational Differences in the Workplace, Past Practice, Impact Bargaining, Processing Grievances, Impasse, “Race to the Top,” and other related issues. The final session on Friday morning will feature a report on 2010 legislation.
